Ring of Command is an item that has a chance to drop after successfully defending an Item Island.
A Ring of Command can be given to your commanders to increase the total number of soldiers in their unit. A level 1 Ring of Command increases the unit's size from 9 to 12 and can be upgraded to level 2 for 16 coins which further increases the unit's size to 16.
As with almost every item in the game, once it is assigned to a commander, it cannot be removed. You can choose Ring of Command as a starting item once you have unlocked it.
Recommended[]
- It's highly recommended to equip the Ring of Command on an archer unit as it increases the total amount of arrows fired, the survivability of the unit, and as archers generally don't move around or get attacked as often as infantry, the increased squad replenish time won't be an issue.
- Pairing the Ring of Command with an Infantry or Archer squadron with the "Ironskin" trait is advisable as it reduces the need to replenish the squad, thus making the increased replenish time less of a disadvantage.
- For Infantry, the increased manpower will result in higher damage and survivability of the unit.
Not Recommended[]
- For Pikes, they should never get in trouble enough to need the indirect extra survivability of the ring's effect and their damage output.
Cons[]
- Using this item increases the time it takes to replenish the unit.
Trivia[]
- Ring of Command will increase the number of soldiers behind your commander's portrait, which is easily recognizable once the ring is upgraded to level 2.
- The following audio clip plays when the Ring of Command is either equipped onto a unit or upgraded:
